New from central California

Hey guys,

I've browsed the site for close to a year now but finally figured it was time to get involved and meet some of you.
My dad (66) and I (26) decided to do a little father son project and landed on a monster Miata. Long story short, after buying a '90 Miata and a '89 motor, we saw a "finished Miata" for sale for less than it would've cost us to do ours! So we pulled the trigger on it. Needless to say.. Not knowing much about the platform at the time, we got a bit duped, and ended up with a project nonetheless. I've been tinkering with it for about 9 months, fixing one small thing at a time, and it's been a blast despite the initial disappointment. I wanted one originally to have fun, and to increase my hands on mechanical and fabrication skills, and that's what I've gotten!
So anyway, I'm excited to officially be on the forum!
My Miata:
White 1993 NA with a 93 5.0
Gt40 intake
Gt40 heads(according to original owner)
Explorer headers (?? According to original owner)
Built t5z
Stock rearend :( (NOT according to original owner)

Looks like I'm not alone, similar expectations and outcome! You're fortunate to have a parts car and spare engine.

Pics are a must!

Yeah threads are New 5.0 from east TN and the BFM.

You ever get builders fatigue even though you're not actually building? Maybe it's fixers fatigue lol.
