hello all my brother and I are working on a big block stuffing a 8.1l chevy engine into a 95 miata. we have the engine and trans we have it test fitted and it looks like it will work. we both might be kind of crazy but we really like the sound of a big block miata. we both are mechnics and we have built other starng cars in the past so we do have a lot of xp with welding and such so hope to keep you guys in the loop as we progress.

+1 on the JAG, not to overshadow your miata, but I am curious whats going on there!

What are your goals for the miata? Not trying to sound mean but I am guessing you are going that route so you can say you have a big block miata? Drag car maybe?

 

yep its just basically for the saying big block miata when i so up to a car show. i have a 71 dart with a 383 in it just for that fact too . im sure the car would be faster with a lsx but the 8100 is ratted for 350hp stock and like 450 ft. we are in the middle of getting are trans to fit right now got a np-440 out of a 82 chevy truck is a 4 speed with OD. figured 4 speeds so enough with a big block.

the jags is a customer car it hasn't run on like 10 years so it needs a few thing done.
