Hi from east Tennessee!
I am an old hillbilly hailing from the pointy tip of Tennessee. I can't throw a rock and hit North Carolina but I bet a slingshot would put a stone into the tar heel state! I had a catastrophic motorcycle accident a couple years ago resulting in a full leg amputation so I can't ride my beloved choppers (so called back in the day), and have decided to get my jollies building fast street cars and rods instead of custom bikes as my now modest funds allow. I was reading car mags before the web became popular and become interested in the little tiger V8 cars and have always been interested in transplanting big or efficient engines into (more often than not) small cars. I almost went with building a dodge Neon with a V8, but have decided on the Miata instead due to what seems a far more active base and support group.
I don't even have a Miata yet but have designs on a couple, and I am a dyed in the wool ford power guy. So after I sell my last Harley Sportster engine and tranny, some S&S parts etc I will be looking for advice from you guys for tips on building a nice, slick Miata! My thanks in advance!
