10AE LS6 in Detroit
 

Hi All,
I recently picked up my first LS Miata from a buddy at work. This is my 4th Miata but my first engine swapped car. I purchased it from the original builder who built it for a friend 8 years ago. There is a build thread here:

I am planning to use this as a fair weather DD and weekend HPDE toy. It has been to Gingerman this summer already and might make it to Grattan by the end of the season.

I am currently struggling with ergonomics issues as I am a big guy with a long torso. Trying to pass the broomstick test has been the focus of most of my effort so far.

I moved from Arizona where I went to ASU a few years ago to work for GM here in Detroit. I have seen a few LS miatas running around locally so hopefully there will be active members on here that I can meet in person.

Welcome! I'd love to see it sometime, I'm over in Farmington Hills. I'm about 70% done with mine, and have gotten caught up with too much stuff this summer to work on it. Hopefully it'll be ready after winter. My friend also has a black LS swapped NA that's in the area.

Awesome! Absolutely! I met a guy with a gutted NA LS1 car with some home made aero at Gingerman. Does that describe your friend's car?

It is great to see an earlier swap still on the road and being enjoyed.
When planning my LS swap I printed out and have referenced all of Nathan's builds that were on his website.

Nathan absolutely is a wealth of knowledge. The car is still in good shape and being enjoyed for sure.
