& so it begins

I just moved into my first house this past weekend, time to really get rocking.



Been working on the motor a few months.

Factory 4.8 bottom end with katech rod bots, arp head studs, mls gaskets, ls7 lifters, and a set of 243 heads. Plan to have it reassembled this weekend to start test fitting. I will be running a blow through carb setup to save some space required for a intercooler as carburetors run cooler and I should be able to boost to around 15 psi without extra cooling.

 

I dream of boosting a V8 one day. Have fun!

Yea, majority of them are probably up in Chicagoland.

I decided to chop up the top of the front bumper support as it had been hacked up, I am going to redo it and strengthen it some.




My tuckin99 flares showed up as well.



I planned to just modify the stock subframe to clear the starter, but the deeper I got into it, the more I debating just buying a tubular subframe.

I'm actually in Southern Illinois, just about as far away from Chicago as you can be honestly and still be in Illinois. My plant actually owns property on the Ohio river looking at Kentucky......Anyways, I thought you were going to sell this car?

What turbo are you planning on running? Are you going to try to run an exhaust to the rear or dump it under the hood?
