2001 ls-1 red dragon
 

Greetings!
i thought i would start a build thread to document what I do to the Red Dragon. I originally purchased it from Al Luddington at V8R Performance in Daytona. It was his early shop car, and he gave me a great deal on it. We have been spending the last few years upgrading it based on things he's learned after doing a few more. Ill be posting pictures, and some of the stories about my experiences.

This was my situation when I got my V8 Mista - it's the Red one. I had just purchased the middle one a few months earlier, but I couldn't resist. The V8 was a stock 2001 with the V8 mod. this was actually my 4th Miata. My first one was my experiment in nitrous - but thats a different story. I started upgrading it of course ...

I put some love into the engine bay - got some MSD coils and my buddy got me a nice strut bar. I did some creative 3D printing, and I combined a Mazda emblem with the Corvette logo. I put some Carbon Miata sequential tail lights on it, and upgraded headlights.

I did a NIGHTRIDER thing under the hood. I bought the sequential kit and 3D printed a flexible holder for the LEDs. I do a lot of 3D printing for custom parts.

The car is currently at the shop getting electric steering installed. I bought some "devil eyes" and installed them in some new headlights. They will go on the car when it gets back.
