Yikes that was a big credit card swipe! I didn't realize this but I missed your 9/11 post and you should PM ToySnake on that control arm deal. That doesn't look right to me and seems to me he had some issues with missing washers and God watching out for him on that. Build looks really good!

Got the frame rails bolted on for a test fit over the weekend.

I still need to pull them off to get them siliconed and to clean up where the V8Roadsters is cut out, but the bulk of the work is done now.

Well... I pulled the trigger on the Speedmaster Pan:
Chevy GM LS1 LS6 Fabricated Rear Sump Oil Pan Chevelle Camaro Custom & Pickup

I'm crossing my fingers that it fits.

Yes, please post upcoming pics and info on the incoming oil pan.

Just saw Jim's above post... Did you resolve your concerns with the a arms and V8R subframe? I'm pretty certain that I didn't have the same "gaps" you took pics of.

(My issue that Jim refers to was Outside, Rear Lower a arm bolts (left & right) were missing large washers (ft & rr) on the bolt that secure bushings from walking out of V8R a arms. It was this nut (not V8R) that somehow failed to install them before issue was discovered.)

Keep us updated. Liking these Florida builds very much...!

It looks like the sleeves were just too long, for some reason.
I took it apart, cut the sleeves down, and it all fits perfectly now.

These are the two big questions. Speedmaster refused to send pictures or any baffling, and were very quiet about dimensions of the pan when I talked to them on the phone.

They did say that I can return it for a full refund as long as it isn't damaged. So it's worth a shot.

I'd really like some dimensions also. Looks like it could be a solution for my Jeep.

I just have them sitting there to keep the dust/debris from getting into the heads. Don't worry. They've actually already been painted since I took the picture.

Not sure. I haven't called Summit Racing yet. I'm sure they'll send another one out for me.

The pushrods ended up being 7.375.

12/7/15 Update:

Got the motor in the car this weekend for the first test fit.

It's tight in the back, but it fits well just about everywhere else. With the exception of the Speedmaster Pan. I'm still fighting with it, it's in the oil pan thread: https://www.v8miata.net/general-moto...gly-801/page4/

Aaaaahhh! The first test fit - a true early highlight in anyone's V8 swap. Hope you took a few minutes and knocked back a cold one as you soaked up the moment!

Looks real sharp, are you going to paint the whole car black or just the engine bay?
