What motor mounts to use?

Out of curiosity, what motor mount does the kit use? There are a couple different small block mounts... so maybe just swap in the taller one for a little clearance?

Dan I flipped this out of the oil pans thread to a new tread since it is a different topic. Could you specify what your build is and what kit you are talking about for us?

It's really helpful to put your build in your signature line so it's there in every post. You'll notice everyone here does that and to always know what you are referring to. It would also be great you could post up an intro so we could get to know you a bit. https://www.v8miata.net/introductions-2/

Don't miss the Florida thread here https://www.v8miata.net/area-member-...-peoples-2540/ you have a lot of new friends in your neighborhood!

Welcome to the forum!

Hey Char.

The question was geared towards the oil pan discussion not my build.

If there is a slight amount of interference with a particular oil pan (ie. mast, the Holley or the $200 fabricated pan that I cant recall the name of at the moment), I was just attempting to offer that there are two different motor mounts available that are very similar. If the kit comes with the short mount, swapping in the tall mount would make the motor install a bit more proud to gain a little bit of clearance between the rack and the pan. Basically the same effect as shimming between the mount and block.

Cheers,
Dan
