Trans tunnel braces driving me crazy
Anyone besides me have trouble getting the trans tunnel braces to fit after the tunnel has been flared :firedevil: Im thinking of trashing the stock braces and fadding something from scratch.

I don't think I've heard anyone having this issue. Can you snap some pics to show us the problem? Thanks.

I would just grind them down some to get them close. A MIG welder should be able to fill in the rest.

Thanks for the support guys. I'm good now, my first failed attempt was due to trying to rush the job after working 10 hour at my real job. Sometimes you just need to step back and take a beak for your car project.

You talking about the stock ones that go side to side? I can't picture what you mean by trans tunnel braces.
LOL maybe that's the left over part! |

Oh that side of the tunnel! For sure they need a bit of adjusting to get back in.

Lol, I, too, was thinking only about the bottom side of the tunnel!
I'm an idiot... Yup, just massage them as needed with ballpeen hammer. Then weld to fit. |
I took a grinder with a flapper wheel and had to take a LOT of material off in different stages to get them to fit properly. They were the biggest pain during the tunnel work IMO and I was surprised that I had not seen anyone mention it...
