Speedo gear
Replacing a leaky VSS and figure I might as well replace speedo gear. I am using a 20 tooth and my speedo reads slightly low. Do I go up, or down a tooth to make speedo read slightly higher?
Calculators say 20 tooth is the one.
Thanks.

Hi Brad,
a better alternative for accuracy is the dakota digital speedo interface. You can then adjust speedo up or down as you drive using your phone gps as a reference.
Any change in gearing, tyres etc. Can be adjusted from the cabin by clicking a button...might be worth considering.
Alternatively fordcracing or late model restoration have a speedo gear calculator which will tel you which color speedo gear is the closest match. It will still be inaccurate to a degree....
That's why the Dakota unit is worth the money and effort...same for their tacho interface.
Makes the conversion see simple 😊
cheers
