OBD1 code 15
 

Does anyone know if a OBD1 code 15 (EEC rom test fail) will cause a running engine to die. I know for a fact that when my problem occurs the ignition fails. I don't know whether the injectors are shutting off as well. I was assuming the PIP sensor or the ICM was bad but I'm not so sure. What I am reading in the literature is that code 15 could be an intermittent 12 volts at pin 1 of the EEC or a bad ground or a bad EEC. I'm trying not to just throw money at this. -Brad
