95 mustang.

Hey ya'll
My buddy is offering me the engine and the transmissions out of his 302 95 mustang. I'm the engine is right (right?) I'm wondering if that's the proper transmission as well, or if I have to look into something else

The T-5 transmission from a 1994-1995 Mustang has a longer input shaft & will require the "deeper" bellhousing from the Mustang. This longer transmission has been used in at least one build that I know of because I sold him the bellhousing. The input shaft could easily be swapped for a shorter one & used with a "standard" bellhousing if desired. The longer T-5 may allow the shifter to enter through the tunnel without an adapter.

But if he uses the whole set up from the same car would you still need to mess with that?

I used the engine and transmission from a 95 GT. I used the existing bell housing which worked ok. Shifter lined up and no adapter was needed. It was a little tight but I got it to fit and all is working well. You can check pictures in my gallery

I wanted a new instead of used transmission behind my 95, so I mated my 95 engine to a Fox Body bellhousing then the standard-issue T5z.
