5.0 T5 clutch and master cylinder setup

I'm getting close on my 89 5.0 T5 swap into my 94 miata. I've been researching clutches, master and I'm trying to figure out the best way to go. The 5.0 is stock for now but future plans are only for aluminum heads, port and polishing and maybe a different cam. Looking to make about 300hp but just stock for now.

Clutch; seems like the king cobra clutch is good or bad depending on where you read but everyone seems to love the stage 1 spec clutch.
Master; I read that Martin uses a 1970 datsun (guessing 521) truck master with the spring a check ball removed.
Master adapter; is this something I can buy or do I have to make one?
Slave; I'm going to use a new stock miata slave mounted to the fox bell and then run the additional brace to stiffen it up.
Slave adjuster; Do you remove the stock slave rod and cut down a bolt to allow for adjustment on the slave?
Hydro line; I think I can just use a long brake line, 10mm x 1mm on the miata slave and 3/8-24 sae on the master for the fittings is what I found when I search.

Any feed back or should I go a different route on any of the above? thanks for the help

I can offer you my experience with the master cylinder. I used Martin's kit for my project and I initially used the Datsun master cylinder that's part of the kit. I had issues trying to get the clutch adjusted properly because the miata slave cylinder didn't seem to have enough movement. I ended up using a Tilton master cylinder kit (74-875U) from Summit Racing. I used Martin's adapter with it and I think I had to enlarge the hole through the fire wall slightly. The Tilton has a larger diameter piston which gives the slave more movement. It makes for a little stiffer feel to the clutch pedal but its not bad.

Thanks for the tip, I probably just use the one you have in the link and make the firewall adapter. I'm trying to get the slave bracket and push rod finalized. I did a search a read that someone notched the bell housing so the slave cylinder was closer to the center line. I did the same and made my bracket and a flat piece for inside the bell. I'm also going to make a piece to run down the side of the trans to pick up another mounting point.

About how long should the push rod be? Im going to buy a bolt and cut the head off so I have some adjustment.
