5.0 engine dies after a minute or so

I am still having issues with my Monster. This is not my build but one that I purchased from a person that I felt was reliable. I think that it is ignition related because after it dies my HEI spark tester shows no spark. After I let it set for a bit I see a spark output at the tester so when I reconnect the coil the engine restarts. It will run again for a minute or two and then the process repeats. The car has never left my property because I can't trust that it will keep running. I pulled codes and got five. Two of the five are described in Martin's manual, three are not. I am getting a 31 (EVP or PFE circuit below minimum voltage), 84 (EGR vacuum regulator circuit failure), and the one that comes up under continuous and on demand is 15 (EEC rom test failure). I expected to see an ignition related code but did not. Now, I am only checking KOEO tests because the engine will not stay running long enough to heat up to run a KOER test. The 15 code looks suspect to me because it involves the computer but like I have said in previous posts, this is all new to me. I am a carb guy. I am tempted to change out the ICM and the PIP hall effect module but I am leery of pulling the distributor without knowing the engine builder. I have seen and heard of oil pump drive shafts falling into the pan because the retainer was left off of the oil pump shaft. Thank you all in advance for any suggestions. -Brad
