I want to get this motor "refreshed". How much should I be looking to spend?

Now I'm having a hard time finding a 7.5 rear end.

When I get my tax refund I will be ordering Martins kit.

Mines not in the car running yet, but with new bearings, gaskets, oil pump, seals, head bolts, anything internal.....I'd estimate $500-800 in mine for a mild refreshening. As with everything costs rise because you might as well do "this" while you've got it torn down this far.
That doesn't include having the heads gone over. That was another $300 or so.

I just got mine back from the machine shop yesterday. He furnished a master rebuild kit, hot tanked, bored and decked the block, installed cam bearings, freeze and oil plugs, polished the crank, reconditioned the conn rods and pressed new pistons on. It cost me $965. I have to assemble it, but that's the fun part.

Y rebuild it if it's run great? If you want to run a stock 5.0l. Don't spend your money on a rebuild kit.
