Does anyone have any pics of what they had to do to the wheel well lips to install fender flares? I would like to run wider wheels and tires with flares as well as have it sit low. What have others done?
Thanks,
Jeff

That's a big ol range of options. Do you have a size tire and ride height you are shooting for? You'll find a range from me that not even rolled the fenders in a NA to those that completely remolded the shape of the body to bolt on flares.
I don't really know. From what I have read a 9" wheel will fit an NB with no modification and I am guessing a 245 tire or thereabouts. I would like to have at least a 275 tire on all four corners. We run our Spec Miatas at 4-4.5 inches ground to pinch weld. That may be too low for the street, not sure.

The problem is not the wheels or the flairs, the problem is there is no street 275 tires that are short enough to fit under a Miata. Track tires sure but nothing for the street. So what are you planning on doing with the car?
If street tires is what you are looking for I spent a ton of time on this very question and you might check out this this thread and specifically this post. https://www.v8miata.net/v8-miata-whe...1462/#post8249

Jim,
I did not see that thread but it is exactly what I was looking for. The car will get street driven with the occasional track event.
