Anyone use the Treasure Coast light weight hard top?
 

I am going to be getting a hardtop soon and can't decide if the Treasure Coast light weight top is a good option? If I get it I will get the full package including rear glass, gasket and trim set. My car is strictly a garage kept toy that will be taken out to "play" on sunny days and will not be a daily driver.

I wanna hear from the guys that have experience with this top. Should I get one?

I have one, although my car is still in the build stage. Its definitely light weight. It attaches with bolts at the windshield and bolts and turnbuckles near the seatbelt posts. The previous owner said it was very stable at speed. Im just not sure how much speed as he was part of the "hella flush" movement and his car was slammed. One thing thats nice about the way it bolts up is it makes it hard for someone to steal it. They are manufactured by CCP fabrication, which also sells fiberglass doors and fenders on ebay. They also sell them direct if you call them. Good luck

Thanks. I saw ccp first and they told me about treasure coast. Ccp only sells the shell and not "finished". I think I am going to go ahead and get it.

Maybe TreasureCoast would sell the lexan window seperate? Thats all youd have to do Id imagine and maybe glue in a headliner if you wanted. It will need a nice high build primer as the paint on mine is almost smooth but could use another round of finish sanding and topcoat to get perfect.

I'm local to them and plan on picking up some parts. When I go I'm going to ask to take a look at one as I've heard about them and lightweight and budget sounds like a good recipe to me.

So, any disadvantages vs OEM? Such as strength, wind noise, etc? Curious. This wouldn't be a bad option, as I'm looking at getting a factory hard top in the future as well.

The top was intended to be a piece for a track car, expecting OEM sealing, noise reduction etc is unrealistic. If you want the aerodynamic benefits and to remove 30+lbs from the top of the car(compared to a OEM top) then you'll have a hard time beating it.
