Default Oregon Coast Road Trip

Just completed 2000 miles round trip from the Seattle area down to the SF Bay Area via US101, which follows the Oregon coast, and in California is also very scenic, through redwoods and the wine country. I think this may be the first time I've ever driven across the Golden Gate bridge, even though I grew up in the Bay Area.

Even in an LS swapped car, with no radio, A/C, power steering, and sitting in aluminum seats (yes, I tuned the padding), the car was comfortable and FUN for up to 13 hours a day.

Because of the mild-ish cam and 3.23 gears, I can get up to 31 mpg on the highway. Because of the aftermarket MAMO heads, FAST intake, etc. it makes 471 rwhp (car is 2400#). Lots of fun passing on two lanes.

It's been a while since I used this DSLR, I didn't figure out how to turn off the flash in this mode until later.

These shots were taken about an hour north of Crescent City, CA, about half an hour after the sun came up.

Re: the license plate frame ... I attended Speed Week at Bonneville this year for the first time ever. I'll be back. It was a really fun and interesting event.
