Need input for installing Corvette air intake with LS1 & MAF
I am installing the Flyin Miata Air Intake kit that utilizes the Corvette cold air intake and filter.
There is a problem.
The kit is designed to work with an LS3, which does NOT have the aluminum MAF assembly.
My LS1 uses the factory 2000 version of the aluminum MAF housing that will need to go between the air duct and the engine air inlet.
Does anybody have information as to how I can get this combination to work?
Hopefully there is some sort of duct available from the internet to adapt the various pieces together. I do have the corrugated accordion piece that originally fit between the MAF housing and the air inlet.
It also could be that I am pulling my hair out for nothing. If the MAF housing inlet will hook real nicely to the end of the Corvette plastic air intake the whole problem goes away.
I have scanned the latest build threads and cannot find where somebody else is using this specific combination.

A local chassis dyno tuner that has been recommended to me uses what is described as "Steady State Tuning". When I called he mentioned that I need to buy some sort of HP Tuner tuning credit.
Any idea if steady state tuning is the way to go and how do I go about getting some tuning credits?
What is required to change over from the LS1 MAF to the LS7 style MAF?

It sounds simple when you say it but it is all Latin to me.
Does anybody have a link to something that tells what to do in nice simple detail?
I do seem to remember a thread that mentioned something about changing to another type of MAF and then redoing the connectors, or some such thing.
Also, would "flashing" the computer be part of what I intend to do with getting the car custom tuned on a chassis dyno?

Either go with a card style maf for the corvette intake since it has a spot for it or get rid of it completely and do a speed density tune. You can buy an adapter harness for ls1>ls3 maf or you can buy a connector with a pigtail and solder/crlimp it on. If you do switch it you'll need some tweaking in hp tuners. The credit he's talking about is to unlock your Ecu in hp tuners. I believe it's $100.

Update.
Using the LS7 MAF sensor worked out real well.
It also required an adaptor connector that I got at the same time as buying the sensor.
Only problem was that the adaptor connectors hooked up to the wrong prongs on the adaptor.
This was squared away by the guy doing the tune and changing the ECU over to reading the LS7 style sensor.
Just be aware that it took a bit of fiddling with which connector hooks to which wire.
Biggest thing is that it allowed a clean installation of the LS1 throttle body to the Corvette cold air intake.
