If the body has no rust and has never been wrapped around a pole... If the powertrain seems in reasonable shape, and it's put together fairly well..., then I don't see how you could lose on this opportunity!!! Just for the parts alone, it's a decent deal. GLWS!!!!! Hope the buyer joins this forum if he/ she isn't already here. That would be a fun car to get to know!

Dammit, you have got to be kidding me! This is pretty much exactly what I want. Why do I have to be house shopping right now? Damn me and my stupid priorities!

Btw, is the starter issue he describes a common problem in these swaps?

Every time I see one of these I think man I should just sell all the stuff I've bought and buy this instead......

You can't go wrong. I think you could do well even as a flip/investment if it's in decent shape. With just some simple prettying up you could do well with a "un- personalized" conversion. ..bit of an oxy moron but I think you get my drift.

So yeah, I bought it. I will take delivery on Friday afternoon when I have time to swing by with a trailer. I now have 3 Miatas.

1- 1992 SPEC Race Car
2- 1992 5.0 Monster Conversion
3- 1996 LS2/3 Conversion

Think I will sell off the 1992 track car to justify this.

Lol. Could not pass up this deal. He used a professional shop for the install and bought just about everything FM sells! Interior needs some assembly, and wiring needs clean up.
I'll be posting a lot here shortly asking all the LS guys some build questions. Think I'll do my first one now.

This is a solid "you suck" if I've ever seen one! Looking forward to the build/tlc thread.

I'm pretty jealous too but sure glad the car is going to be in good hands! You gonna keep them both? Which one are you bringing to Mitty next year?

I just registered today looking for a Miata with V8 and looks like you've found a "silver bullet". I live in Beaumont TX about 85 miles East of you. Congrats on what looks to be a great find. Currently I drive a 99 Corvette with HPDE (cooling & handling) mods but the cost of consumables is consuming me. Eating lunch now but be back later to learn more about V8 Miatas.

Lol. I originally contacted him to buy extra parts and ended up buying entire car. Check out my build thread for more details. Been upgrading and making changes. I have a 5.0 and LS if you are ever in the area and want to check them out.
