For those not at the Mitty this car was there and I got a good look at it. Also ran behind him on the parade laps. It is truly a work of art with all top shelf parts and pro quality craftsmanship.
Gonna haul it up to MATG next week if anyone there is interested
Just curious, but was the car ever put on a dyno?
Not yet, I doubt it will I'll have a chance before next week, but it will happen soon
Cool. I'm curious to see what the 5.3 is capable of. I've seen tons of people strap turbos to them, but not a lot of NA builds with that block. I'm sure they are out there though.

Thanks, that is actually fairly impressive.
That was a cam, ls6 intake, shorty headers and tuned if I remember correctly
Nice car! I don't think people realize how much goes into a proper v8 miata. My build is very similar to yours with the L33 and lots of v8R parts. Good luck with the sale!
When I started adding it up I was at $25k not including the car, motor, trans, diff, and all of the small odds and ends like ARP wheel studs, hoses, AN fittings, etc, etc. it all adds up
Car will be at PBIR on Thursday 8/13 and LS Fest in September if anyone is interested in seeing it. Let me know

Need to sell before I start spending money again. Car ran great. Data was good. 1.4g on unshaved 200 tread ware tires, temps and A/F were good. Realized from the videos just how early I was lifting, brakes were phenomenal. Probably could have seen another 10mph on the back straight if I had grown a pair. Will be in Louisville in 2 weeks |
Change of plans. Not going to Louisville. Car will be at Miatas at Laguna Seca the first weekend in October
Hoosiers and a couple of suspension upgrades are on the way before we head out west
Sold
Congrats with the sale. Saw it at The Mitty, and it was impressive just sitting under the V8R tent...
