SOLD - 1992 Monster Miata Ford 408 Stroker FS - SOLD
This is a 1992 Monster Miata. This car was built in a shop in Louisville KY. (Street and Strip Performance). This was not built from a kit. It was built by guys who know how to build race cars and have many years of experience doing so and have an impeccable reputation. I can answer any questions you have. The car has about 4500 miles on it since it’s rebuild. Here are some details.

I have all paperwork from build. I can also send more pics and videos if you’re interested. The car made about 400 hp to the rear wheels and about 500 ft/lbs of torque on a Mustang Dyno. During a test and tune session this car ran a 10.9 sec E/T in the quarter. It has a very mild cam right now. The interior (seats, carpet, rugs, gauges, etc. are all new). The top is new as well. Here is a link to my photo album... v8 Miata Forum - Home of the v8 Miata Conversion - The Wretch's Album: The Wretch Photo Album I'd value the car at a minimum of $15,500. I don't want to haggle on this car. It's perfectly sorted, very fast in all situations, reliable, has the best parts and no expense was spared when building. In a different market, I would ask $17K. So, no haggling aside, the first $13,500 takes the car. I hate to sell, but have 2 pre-teenage boys who love to go to cruise-in-nights, which is all this car sees. Unfortunately, I need another seat. Otherwise, I'd never let this car go. I've never owned a more fun car! Since this car has the stroked 351 Windsor, it does draw quite a bit of attention at the local cruise-in's. When I open the electric cutout's and throw a few rev's, I can't walk away from the car for an hour to even look at anything else. This car has been adult owned since the conversion and has been taken care of as if it were one of the family. Any questions, please let me know. |
Just a little bump to get the thread on the new posts quick tab...

Was the 10.9 ET done on your standard wheel/tire combo, or did you use slicks?
|
Done on the Z1 star specs...(Standard Tire). The car has never been on slicks.
|
How long have you personally owned it, and where are you and the car located?
|
I've owned the car for about 14 months. I traded my mildly modded GTO to the owner who had this car built. The trade was last July. I'm located in Bloomington Indiana.
|
I've posted this before, but thought I would repost for those interested in hearing the exhaust note with headers open and headers closed...

Mixed feelings, but the car has been sold. It was truly an exceptional experience owning this car.

Certainly some interesting solutions to typical Miata V8 problems on that car. Looks like it was a ball. Hopefully, one day, you come back to the fold. The NC really is quite a chassis, if you are ever back into it.
