SOLD - 1990 Miata 5.0 $11,500 - SOLD

Rebuilding two vintage Mustangs and need garage room. Built with all Martin's parts and mostly new parts as no donor was available.

1990 5.0 HO with EFI (interesting story on the engine)
E303 cam with Trick Flow valve springs
roller lifters
19 lb. Accel injectors
new water pump, new distributor, new PM starter,
new flywheel, Zoom racing clutch and pressure plate
new rebuilt WC T5
Martin built 7.5 diff
new Konig shocks, Monster springs, new ball joints
new stock brake rotors, pads. new BFG KDW tires on new lightweight 16" wheels
new seat covers
new top
new paint in 2011
The car has only been driven in sunshine to show it off. All Martins's manuals as well as the original owners manual.
The car has a mild 5.0 build with around 250 rwhp but really fun to drive.
This car is a much better platform then the Mustangs I am building but the Mustangs tug at my heart and brings back memories.
The car is located in upstate South Carolina and has about 1500 miles on it since the build completed in 2011. Car is red/black with red seat inserts. Can add pics if interested. Not a mark on the car. There are two issues. An air bag light blinks from when I put the Momo wheel on it. A resister could take care of it and the hood release cable is about an inch too long and protrudes slightly from its housing. Never bothered me as drives great.

photos?

Having trouble uploading photos. Not sure why as there is something about needing a security token? I can PM them.

Old Chuck, I'm in the Atlanta area and have been looking for a good V 8 Miata for a while. Can you send some pic via PM? If that's a problem, I also have trouble uploading pics to some sites, I can send you my regular email address.

Pictures for OldChuck (format is too big which is why you cannot attach them to the forum, they must be resized like these).

This one won't last long.

Of course I'd probably try to buy the 65 Mustang Convertible in the garage first, but that is just me ;)

mrmustang,
I thought it may be a format issue. I figured that if anyone was really interested that I would send them by e-mail which, I have done a couple already. The 66 in the garage is one of two that I have and given that we have downsized recently, I don't have the room for three toys. I will let the Miata go(reluctantly) as well as one of the 66's and rebuild the other 66 Mustang. I have been holding on to the Miata for a few months because I could not bear to advertise her. I have mixed feelings and if I had the space I would keep her just for those fun days in the sun as it is a better platform than the Mustang but as I said, the Mustang pulls at my heart. Thanks for posting the pics for me and I do have more if anyone is interested.
Again Thanks for taking the time to post the pics,

Chuck

Miata Sold

Just wanted to let folks know that the Miata is sold. The first guy who looked at it bought it. I think she will have a good home as he keeps all of his toys looking like new. She is now heading to Florida..

Thanks for all the interest and will still keep an eye on the board as many here have helped me a great deal and I thank everyone for that.

I did find out from the buyer that she had suspension bushing issues. Who knew?? That sounds like a "fun job"...

...to ME!! :smilie_daumenpos:

Figured it wise to keep a nice, basic Monster on hand to drive while mucking through the process of building my own dream specimen in the long term.

Steve,
Glad you made it fine. Take good care of her...

"Thinking" would suggest aptly applying logic, which in the case of the guy who buys one while building another might be something of a stretch.

The only person I can think of with more questionable judgement is the lovely lady who 1) agreed to become my wife, and 2) allows me to entertain such follies. I suspect many of you can relate to that good fortune.

Oh yeah I think there are a lot of these ladies behind the scenes round here and I have one of the best!
