CA- LS3 swapped S2000 17,500
SOLD
I realize this is an S2000 on a V8 Miata site..But if it's worth anything I also sold my 5.0 Miata here and have been on the forum for a few years. Mods, if it's not ok to post it here feel free to delete.
video of it driving
2001 s2000 with an LS3 and T56.
The ls3 came from a 2015 Camaro ss with 15k Miles as did the t56 6speed. The car is a blast to drive as you can imagine. Fires right up every time, 0 issues with the drivetrain. The car is plastidipped green, as the car when I received it was a mix of silver and black, and I wanted one single color. The good news with plastidip, like vinyl, if you don't like it, you can always just peel it off. It also protects paint that's underneath.
Car is ready to jump in and drive!
Pros
NEW tires (285/35/18 Rear, 255/40/18 Front)
NEW stoptech brake pads
Smogged 6/29
low mileage stock LS3 ~430hp (stock exhaust manifolds and catalytic converters)
low mileage t56 6 speed
Kit built from importmuscle.com
shop built in Bay Area
ground control coilovers
J's Wide body kit
mishimoto radiator
big fans to keep everything cool
All gauges work like normal (just don't try and hit the 9k original redline )
Battery relocation kit to the trunk (better weight distribution)
Cons:
There are a few little things, but nothing major.
-Plastidip isn't perfect- but pretty good.
-Front bumper has a little bounce to it, probably needs to be tightened at some fasteners or something simple.
-Driver seat bolstering is worn
-needs alignment since I put on the tires
-Salvage title- previous owner said it's from a battery issue that caused a fire with the original engine, which is was what caused him to do the swap. Never looked into it myself, but there's 0 evidence of any frame damage, and it makes sense.
I think that's about it. Overall a super fun and ridiculously crazy car.
Car was smogged 6/29/18
The car has the camaro ECU, stock cats, stock exhaust manifolds.
Please SERIOUS BUYERS ONLY.
I will ignore any texts or emails that don't begin with "I am seriously interested in your s2000".
I am happy to send more pictures and videos to serious buyers.
Not interested in trades (except maybe an exocet).
I won't give joy rides.
Car is located in San Miguel, CA (central coast)
14,500obo
Willing to work with buyer on price especially if transport is required. I shipped my 5.0 Miata to Michigan for a reasonable amount.
I think that's about it. Overall a super fun and ridiculously crazy car. Much quicker than the 5.0 Miata I used to own.

I wish this car looked stock and had AC. I would love to own an LS S2000.
The whole California smog testing issue makes me nervous. I have had many vehicles fail over the decades. My fleet is mainly smog exempt pre-1975 gas and pre-1997 diesel.
If I had the time, I would like to build an LS powered 1960s MGB.
Best of luck with the sale.
