It is time for Copper Top to find a new home, this has been the funnest car that I have built yet. Scott - Best of luck with the sale. I hope you'll let us know if you have another car project on the horizon. I, too, have seen and heard this V8Roadster twice at Road Atlanta, and it is very well put together. $25K is well worth the price, and (obvious to me) you couldn't come close to duplicating this build at that number with parts and labor. Pretty, pretty car! Best of luck and congrats to the guy who jumps on this one.

I'm sad to say that Coppertop has Sold, it's difficult to letgo of this build even 3 years later. It is going to a very deserving motor sports enthusiast in south Florida. I couldn't just watch it get loaded onto a transport and disappear into the sunset. So I told him to cancel the transport I will bring it to you. After a nice and leisureLy drive of 20 hours (15 in 1day) I was able hand him the keys. We then spent a few hours going over the car and he took me to the Airport.
So you guys on the east side keep your eyes open you will see it on the track. Ken I hope that Coppertop gives you as many SMILES as it me!!! |
Where about in Florida? There's a good handful of v8miata guys down here

Hmm maybe I'll see it around, that's not too far from me and I frequent the palm beach cars and coffee every month.

I have been working on this since November a fox body with a coyote swap, 8 point cage. The motor was completely rebuilt re-sleeved and one off custom ground cams to support the forced induction. |
Well it is Florida, anything with a license plate it legal lol. Your picture isn't working either but a coyote fox is badass!
|
I put a few pictures of fox body coyote swap in the Coppertop photo album. I'm hoping to get around 1200HP out of this one and still be street able.

I just came here to say this ^^
That is surprising. Wonder why? |
