1990 V8 Miata with 351w project for sale!

https://post.craigslist.org/manage/3080505079

Im selling my project car. I havent had the time to work on it and it's doing nothing but taking up garage space. I Just dropped the price dramaticly.Im considering selling parts seperatly and parting it out. let me know if your interested in this.

1990 Mazda Miata MX 5 with a 351ci Ford small block V8. Transmission is a T-5 5speed. With a Cobra Independed rear suspention Aluminum 8.8 rear end.
Lots and Lots of brand new parts: Morosso billet aluminum electric water pump, Jegs aluminum hight torque mini starter, Fab aluminum valvecovers, ARP stainless steel hardware, 5 stage billet aluminum dry sump oil pump, edelbrock aluminum performer intake manifold. All engine gaskets, custom 4-2-1, 1 5/8" long tube headers, and more.
Engine is bored .30 over and has speedpro hypereutectic pistons. All new speedpro bearings. Subframe components have been sandblasted and most coated with black POR15.

The car currently sits entirely disassembled. The engine and transmission are mounted in. but subcomponents are all boxed up. Including interior and suspention, I have a square tube rolling frame with casters the car can rest on.

I would like to see someone interested in completing this project, it will make an awsome street machine for someone. Completed a V8/Monster Miata have a substancial retail value. I have a LOT of time and money invested, Get a good value on a cool project.

I have a Truck and car trailer so I can move this for you if you need.

When I started this work I documented my progress, you can see more pictures and explanantions with the following link:

Wow. This was some real pioneering work you did here. Love the attention to detail, and all the headers!!! OMG.

What are you asking for the setup as it sits now?

Jason, I know you've likely been a long time coming to the decision to move on. However, man, you really do have a huge chunk of the conversion behind you.

I'm thinking you need to hang around this forum for a few weeks, read some old post, take a ride or two in some of the V8 cars around,,,,then reconsider.

Whatever the ultimate outcome, nice work.

Good luck, RR

5.0MX5 your probably right.

I've been working on this car for 7 years now, the last 5 I have done almost nothing. Having kids and putting a lot of hours into work doesn't help.

I'm looking at moving again in the end of July. If I move this car it will make 4 times that I've relocated it in it's current dismantaled state. Really it's just the current circumstance that I'm now just considering letting someone else take this over. If it doesnt sell, than that's ok. I'll just move it again and hopfully find a way to continue working on it later.

I would love to visit some completed v8 miatas, maybe relight my passion for it. Is there any in the Indianapolis area? Anyone?

be good:
It's doubtfull that I am going to part/piece this out. I would want to organise the sale of all the parts and the car before even letting one item go. I really dont want to be in the position of still having the project here, but then having to repurchase parts if I wanted to continue it. I hope you understand.

Vic: I was asking $4k, but I dropped it to $3k. Thats as low as I could go. If it doesnt sell by July then It may not be for sale at all.
