I counted 22 unique hood shots in my photos but I'm not sure I got them all. I felt pulled in a dozen directions all weekend and was having too much fun to remember to count...

You missed the V8 XXXocet and the Targa Miata in those underhood shots, Jim.

Thanks Jim and to everyone who helped organize the event
Even with a 16 hr drive home I had a blast , great to meet and see some very interesting V8 Miata conversions, and thanks to Flyin Miata for all there work and time on the track... That was fun FYI CF-55 got average 28.7 MPG on way home and no speeding tickets

Here's a few pics from last weekend. I took a bunch more on my real camera before realizing that my new phone took better pictures...go figure.

I had a hell of a time. It was great to finally put some faces to the names on here and Miata.net!

It ended up being about 1700 miles round trip. Other than a sore ***, I didn't have any real problems! See y'all next year....hopefully with more comfortable seats...

What are the odds of having the same vanity plate?!?! We didn't even realize it until after we were both parked here for a few hours.

Miata Corral...Hrmm, that's an odd reflection on FM's trailer...

Heading to the track for FM parade laps

Touring lap from Sunday...that Excursion didn't stand a chance!

Boris Said autographed custom beer koozie

Just some random 918 beater

I have the sudden urge for a couple Cuba Libre's

It was a very good time. I'm very glad that more of you discovered The Mitty for the first time. I think it makes for a pretty good backdrop for future V8M gatherings as well.

Jim -- Glad you had a safe trip with that tie rod/ splint! I was worried about you - but you again proved you know what the heck you're doing... My head spun around as well with everything going on - too many demands and not enough time, I guess.

Mike - "Miata Corral...Hrmm, that's an odd reflection on FM's trailer..." LOL, that's your evil hood reflection - which you already knew! That pic is awesome. Your car is too - and it was so cool to see THE Miata that inspired me the most along my build journey!

No problem, that was mostly so you could adjust your car count.

I happened to have the camera rolling at the right time and caught the BMW crash on Friday. I've gotten to know the driver this week as I crunched down the video for him and he's a heck of a nice guy. It's surprising he wasn't hurt more than he was.

Perfect 2nd honeymoon destination next year Gabriel! And just think of the epic video you could do.

It was 3 clicks beyond epic and I would do it again in a heartbeat. Actually we need to do it again because I felt pulled in so many different directions I barely got to meet everyone!

And of you happen to be a Ford guy...

Jim, your random artzy shot of the Jag inline six with the headers on is absolute art. I want to blow one up for a poster for my shop wall.

Here is another shot of the car pulled back for the rest of the story.
