Default WTT For V8 Miata

Interested in trading my supercharged C5 Corvette for a well done LS or Ford powered Miata. Vette is a 99 with less than 85k miles on the car, and just over 20k on all mods. Churning north of 500 very reliable hp. Body is perfect, and paint is nearly perfect, with only a few rock chips here and there. Very docile car that can be driven daily. Never abused, always garaged, and covered. Over $40,000 in parts alone in this beast. Everything is overbuilt to last. Drivetrain is capable of handling 800 RWHP. One of the best looking C5's you'll see. Here is the grocery list of the major mods.
  • Lingenfelter Polished I/C MP122 Magnacharger
  • ECS Overdrive 8-rib belt drive
  • Lingenfelter GT2-3 Cam
  • AFR 205 CNC heads with valve spring upgrade
  • Lingenfelter Red Coil Covers
  • Lingenfelter High Volume fuel pump
  • YellaTerra roller rockers
  • Dewitts radiator w/ engine oil cooler fittings
  • RPM Level VII Tranny ( Hardened input, and output shafts )
  • RPM Level V differential (3:43:1 gears) with hardened shafts, and external cooler
  • DTE Tranny brace
  • Precision Industries 3000 stall, 3 disc converter
  • DTE Transmission/Differential brace
  • Ceramic Coated Dynamax Headers
  • GHL Polished Stainless Catbacks
  • MCM Carbon Fiber hood.
  • Wolfracecraft 6-point roll bar
  • Pioneer AVIC-D3 Nav unit with custom double din console. Focal speakers, Kicker sub, JL, and Kenwood amp
  • HID headlights
  • Kennebell boost-a-pump
  • Z06 Red Calipers w/ slotted and cryo treated rotors. Hawk Ceramic pads
  • Bilstein shocks
  • Alky injection.

In no hurry to get rid of. Love the car, and my kids will probably have a contract on my life if they knew I posted this. But life is too short to be tied to any one toy for too long.

What did you change up to get the 50 more HP from when it was for sale on the Vette forum?

Could we get some interior pics?

It's a gorgeous car. How about we race for Pinks? (1/4mi using the tree).

Nothing changed. 450 was RWHP. I was going by crank. I'll get some interior pics soon. I've learned that it's never a good idea to race anyone too over eager, or too reluctant. :-)

It was in jest. I have a total of 3 dragstrip runs in my lifetime. But my last run was a 12.0 at 125 in the Miata. I'm told it should do much better with someone more skilled at the wheel.

I do have interest in your car. Looking for a platform for airstrip racing and 1 mile runs. Does it already have the highest boost pulley installed?

Good question. Unfortunately, since I didn't build it, I don't have an answer.

LOL Gator I was thinking you were going to swap engines with the vette...

Great car for sure but sorry every time I see one like this the first thought is always DONOR!!!

Why would I do that? My LS3 is putting down the same number naturally aspirated. No...my thought was a cam, thicker head gasket, turn up the boost, and progressive 300+ shot of giggle juice till she ventilates the block, then part out the pretty bits on top and drop in a LSX on dual 78s. It's got the trans and diff, just needs more motivation to run with the Vipers and Lambos.

Waiting on those additional pics.

Finally had a couple of minutes to string together to snap a couple of interior pics. Two flaws that I neglected to mention before. Small hole in the drivers seat back that can be seen in the included pictures, and the windshield is cracked in the upper driver's side corner. Impossible to get a picture of. The amp area looks a bit untidy since I need to get an appropriate length of RCA cables. It's what I had laying around when I installed the sub, and never got around to it again.

Cool project! Don't give up on it. If I didn't have my heart set on a roadster I'd be all over it.
