Default Texas Mile and the like...

What's the fastest you've gotten you V8 Miata to? Be it the long straight at your local track, or organized land speed events, or those infamous 'closed course in old Mexico' street runs.

not a V8, however, I set the G/BGT record at the Ohio Mile - 138 mph

with an FM II on a stock motor

Am planning a return to the Mile in '16 with a V8 Miata track car

Truth to be told it was on US 59 on the way to church. One of our elders pulled out 1/4 mile in front of me in his Mustang and nailed it. By the time I caught him we were over 100 but he ran out of gear at 130 so it was easy pickings. (70 with a 351C 4 speed) I'd guess 145ish and yeah that speed on a 2 lane public road was easily the dumbest thing I did in 2014. Actually for the whole decade but we still OMG about it.

My 176.6 in a controlled environment was pretty crazy near the end. I was about 2 seconds from lifting when I crossed the mile mark. Being an Apache helicopter pilot, I am too stupid to know any better! Lol. Still would like to see 200 in the little guy.
