Default Will this setup work for me?

I am planning to start a 8 build on my 99 Miata. I just landed a deal on a driveline from a 2001 WS6 Trans Am. The motor, ECU, harness and transmission. However, I found out after making the deal that it is. Of the six speed as advertised but an automatic.

So assuming I sell the auto and get a T56, everything else will work, correct? I know the engine will be fine, but am curious about the ECU and harness.

Thanks!

The harness is different. I'm sure it's able to be converted to a t56 harness but it may be more work than you want to deal with. But there are aftermarket swap harnesses available for around $500.

I will look into the harness. I do have to rewire it anyway, so it won't be too big of a deal. I will probably extend it enough to go to the trunk anyway.
