Huh that thing is in NY now. It was for sale last year in TX.
Why is a great question. Hard to imagine a body kit replicating an existing car that doesn't cost anymore than the look a like. There is a ton of clean Z3s well under 20K on the market and without the lousy carbureted GM v6...
I wonder what it's really worth on the market. 7500 maybe?

The only kit imposter I've ever liked was the Porsche 356's made from VW bugs. ...and that's only b/c a nice 356 is too far out of my grasp, but I kinda like that AMX07. 
...now b4 someone's head explodes.... I'm not counting the true kit cars like the Cobras (or exocets) as 'imposters'. They are their own car, not reworked bodies.
